Wellsense

Wellsense VŪ makes interface pressure visible at the bedside, so offloading is confirmed, not assumed. See. Offload. Confirm.

Who they are

Wellsense makes the Wellsense VŪ pressure visualization system: a continuous pressure-mapping pad placed over the patient's existing mattress, with a bedside display showing a live, color-coded map of where interface pressure is building.

Why we represent Wellsense

The human eye can't detect deep tissue ischemia before the skin breaks, and a two-hour turning schedule can't tell a nurse whether a turn actually relieved pressure. Wellsense VŪ closes that diagnostic gap. It turns repositioning from a guess into a procedure that ends only when the clinician can see that pressure has been offloaded.

What it does

See.

Live, color-coded pressure visualization at the bedside shows where risk is building before the skin shows it.

Offload.

Clinicians make targeted micro-adjustments (shifting a heel or a hip just enough to clear the red zones) instead of relying only on exhausting full-body turns.

Confirm.

Objective confirmation that pressure was redistributed, plus the visibility to document existing risk on admission.

Therapeutic support surfaces

When the map stays red, escalate the surface.

Pressure data shows whether the current surface is doing its job. If a patient can't be turned, or the map stays red despite micro-movements, that's an objective trigger to escalate to the right Joerns surface: foam, dynamic air, or Dolphin FIS immersion. The same data helps right-size a fleet of specialty surfaces.

Acquisition & procurement

Available as a monthly rental or a capital purchase, so a unit can begin without a capital expenditure request and move to capital once the clinical case is proven. Pricing and terms are set by Wellsense.

Wellsense holds its own VA Federal Supply Schedule contract, 36F79726D0084 (SIN A-74). Mountain American Medical is not the contract holder.
